Relief

I finally managed to force myself into the garden this morning, after I'd left the children at school. Didn't achieve much. Was attacked by a couple of spiders and as my spider catchers were all absent, (not that they catch outdoor spiders admittedly, but I find their presence reassuring. Someone to hear my yelp.) I just couldn't bear it and had to give up. Pathetic, I know, but it's the thought that one could somehow get inside my glove or crawl up my sleeve, euuw, no can't think about it.

Anyway, saw my first pair of swifts this year, to join the handful of swallows and house martins. Hopefully, these are the ones that travelled first class, the others will be here soon.

"Spring is here,
The grass is ris,
I wonder where the birdies is.
The bird is on the wing,
But that's absurd,
The wing is on the bird!"

I just found this blog, Louise. What no posts since 2009? I enjoyed reading these entries. Spiders are harmless you know. It's things with horns and hooves and teeth you have to watch out for.

Ooo, hello David!
I didn't think anyone would stumble into this blog! I suppose I stopped paying it attention when I got all Challenge obsessed. Perhaps I should cone back to it and use it for my vacant ramblings and Big Adventure could be just Challenge related... But thank you! My mother isn't fond of 'kickers and biters' whereas horses and dogs have always been my friends. Anything with more than four legs is WRONG...

Hi Louise

I may be posting this comment twice as I am struggling with the PC again. It's not the numbers of legs it the size of teeth, horns and hooves that matter - see below.

I found this blog via your Challenge posts. It is a good read if I may see. although I sort of felt I was having a covert peep at your personal diary :)

Arggghhh? This may be my 3rd post of the same comment. PC problem.

It's the hooves, horns and teeth that are the issue! Shttp://fellbound.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/load-of-old-bull-day-1-on-cumbria-way.html#comment-formee link below.

Love this blog, although it did feel like I was covertly looking at your personal diary :)

Oh dear! Yes, I can understand the cow/bull thing. When I walk with Laura I become all brave and guide her through, but on my own I tend to be a shade anxious!

And thank you, you're very kind. I suppose this blog coes read a little like a diary, but that may be because I write the way it falls out of my head. But thank you. Perhaps I will resurrect it...
