Sunday Lie In

Not everyone wants a lie in on a Sunday. I realise that and respect them for it. I would love a lie in any day, but a peaceful Sunday would be nice. It's just not going to happen, is it? If I really have to wait until they've all left home, I'll be in my early 50s already and probably onto the next phase in life, have to get up and on so as not to waste what I've got left! There's another depressing thought and a wasted Sunday lie in worrying about it. Might as well just get up and get on!

Have just read your entire blog and I can't believe how much we still have in common - after all these years apart! i was thinking only the other day how I can not remember the last time I woke up from a sleep of my own accord (it's always either Michael or Isable who wake me and usually Isabel - occasionally it's Mario's alarm clock that he's mis-set to go off in the middle of the night grrrrrr).

In fact the only thing that you and I don't share in common is that you're aging ridiculously well and I'm counting more wrinkles on my furrowed brow by the day... I'm too young to be quoting Audrey Hepburn (who said she'd earned every one of her wrinkles and didn't want them airbrushed out - at least I think it was her). Anyhow, never mind. This is too long a comment - but I'm so glad you're blogging again -something for me to look forward to reading.

Lots of love
