I will have my cake and eat it

It may not be beautiful to look at, but I made it and I KNOW it will be LICIOUS, as my 5 year old would say.

No cheeky comments on the lack of candles,

THERE ARE PLENTY...

Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me,

Happy birthday dear me, happy birthday to me!

Hip hip, hooray, hip hip, hooray!

Didn't read that first before I got click happy, it's my age...

Should have read:

My 'friend' Roz has just expressed horror and shock that I already have a bottle of wine open at this time.

It's red and it needs to air!

My friend Bev didn't bat an eyelid and I told her at 1pm.

Which one knows me better?

Is that a good thing?!

I can only repeat:

Enjoy!

Actually, you've sparked a question in me (you're always doing that). What is the "socially acceptable time" to have a tipple. Clearly in my house it's got to be after the children are in bed - 7pm - on the dot, but otherwise....????

Oh dear. Hmmm. Well, you know what you say? Bad, bad mummy...

If David's around, it can be 4ish. If we're feeling decadent, we may have a glass with lunch and the rest (a little) later.

On my own? Don't drink much, but may have 2-3 small glasses with dinner, the first around 6ish and enjoy the other as the children go to bed, but that's getting later for me. No way can I wait till 8.30pm!

Having said that, the yard arm is moveable in our house...
